-
How long does
the survey take?
Each person’s survey will be different, depending on
his answers, but most people finish the survey in about 45-60
minutes.
-
How
is my information kept confidential?
We are required to take measures to ensure your data is kept
secure and confidential. For example, you will be assigned
a ID number
to use instead of your name when you take the survey. And all survey
paperwork is kept triple-locked and can only be accessed
by the research
team.
You can speak with DC-MAPS staff members if you have additional
questions about data security.
-
I’m
biracial Asian (only one of my parents is Asian). Am I eligible
for the survey?
YES. As long as you self-identify as Asian, you are eligible.
-
Can
you take the survey online?
NO. The survey can only be taken on one of the project laptops.
-
I
am female-to-male (FTM) OR I am male-to-female (MTF). Am
I eligible for the survey?
YES. Both female-to-male (FTM) and male-to-female (MTF) persons
are eligible for the survey provided they also live in
the
metro DC area and are of Asian descent.
-
Do
I need to use my real name?
NO. You can use pseudonym (such as “Mickey Mouse” or
any other name you come up with), if you choose.
-
Will
my immigration status be reported?
NO. All data from the survey is kept confidential and is seen
only by the research staff.
-
I’m
not Asian, but my boyfriend is. Can I take the survey?
